Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus is an International Fraternal organization for practical Catholic men 18 years and older. We are the largest contributor to the Catholic Church and sponsors several of the functions of the Vatican.   The Knights of Columbus was founded by Farther Michael J. McGivney in New Haven, Connecticut in 1882.

The Father Edmund W. Croke Council 4982 of Wilmington, MA was formed under a charter granted by the Supreme Council of New Haven, Connecticut in 1960.  Our building was constructed by the Members of the Council.   We have two function halls available for rent to any members of the general public.

Each year elections are held to elect the Council officers who perform their duties under the Direction of the Grand Knight.   Our Council sponsors many functions throughout the year to raise funds for the support of our many charitable programs.   The Council also sponsors many youth sports teams and Troop 56, of the Boy Scouts.

Some of our important annual events are: Tootsie roll drive on Columbus day weekend,  K of C Christmas Basketball Tournament, Knights of Columbus Free Throw Tournament. the 4th of July breakfast and dinner on the common.
